4 links – The Original Texas Smokehouse sausage – ½ moon cuts
¾ cup Heirloom tomatoes – Halved
¾ cup English Cucumber – ½ moon cut
¾ cup Red Onions – Sliced thin
¾ cup Fresh Mozzarella – Diced
¼ cup – Fresh Basil – Rough chopped
1½ cups Bread – Cubed then Toasted
1½ – 2 tablespoons Cajun Seasoning
2 – 3 cups Mixed Green Lettuce
½ cup Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing
1. Sauté the sausage until dark highlights appear then reserve.
2. Dice fresh Italian or French bread then toasting them until golden brown highlights appear then reserve.
3. Cut up the following then place in a large mixing bowl…Cucumbers, halved tomatoes, red onions, diced fresh Mozzarella, then rough chop fresh Basil.
4. Add the cooled sausage & toasted bread along with the mixed greens
5. Drizzle the Balsamic dressing over the salad then mix and let rest in the cooler until service.
This salad intensifies in flavor the longer it remains in the cooler
